  1. Sectarian org? You mean Muslim American? You understand that your language is Islamophobic right? It would be like me attacking you for your Christian identity rather than pointing out that you worked with the YPG dominated SDF which your article failed to disclose

There have been mass demonstrations in Idlib against HTS and barely any media coverage. They're called extremists when they're too terrified to speak out and they're ignored when they do speak out.

  3. I wouldn’t use the pronoun “we” when describing your own opinion.

  4. ⁩. ⁦⁩ is accusing the US of supporting “jihadists” in Syria. Never mind the author is a member of the Syrian PKK. Regardless, did you and I support jihadists? Cause I sure as heck don’t think we did.

  5. Thank you for inviting me to join such a fantastic crowd. Not to mention to share the stage with . can’t wait to work with all of you in 2020.

  6. Wow. published an article by a registered lobbiest for the which is the political front of the /PKK. He was only referred to as a former political prisoner and human rights activist. You’d think his affiliation would be important for readers to know.

Ha! Instead of correcting the record, and thank you for it, the reporter blocks you. This story needs to be amended, if NYT news section has any integrity. The flaws are too obvious.

This act of domestic terrorism, targeting the Jewish community, is indicative of our current climate. We are glad the FBI was able to thwart this plan and save lives - as hate, bigotry, Antisemitism, and Islamophobia continue to rise and become violent.

Here’s a clue to why Iraq’s protests have not spread to Sunni areas. In Anbar, majority Sunni, authorities have arrested people who used Facebook to express solidarity for protesters - they didn’t even take to the street. documents

The Assad regime and Russia continue to kill civilians and try to murder rescue workers saving them in Idlib. 3 million vulnerable civilians live in this last opposition-held pocket.

Iraqi protests are probably the most remarkable regional event in half a decade, with remarkable implications. But it’s astonishing how under-reported they have been in mainstream media. good articles but truly amazing how this isn’t covered play by play.

  14. Latest string of bombings against civilians in areas vacated by YPG.

  15. These banners are naming Iran and IRGC Soleimani as source of Iraq’s trouble. This is in Iraq’s Shia heartland.

I, like many Syrians, left Syria because of Assad. It’s been 7 years since I’ve been home. Although the US has better living standards, I think of Syria everyday. Accept the responsibility of Assad, he was at the best place to prevent this and yet chose to use his weapons on us

  17. Isn’t it amazing how Assadists turn around the fact that Assad killed most Syrians and destroyed the country, and blame those who dared to oppose him for that very same death and destruction?

  18. With former and current officials and “think” tankers saying that it is preferable for to control , all I can say is allhamdulillah they were not in charge when Hitler was winning. Cowardice masquerading for pragmatism. 👎🏽

  19. City controlled by Turkish-backed Syrian oppo groups who expelled YPG in in 2018. That’s a rather large bombing. Likely culprit: PKK/YPG, Regime, disenchanted oppo faction?

Pathetic hatchet-job of outstanding public servant/diplomat/ expert Jim by critics too spineless to go on record. And since when does a reputable journalist repeatedly use “ hawk” to describe a senior official? ⁦

  21. Flagging for . Double check your "journalists" cause this one seems to be moonlighting for . Cursory check of his postings makes it pretty clear. He's also an Islamophobe and just attacked another USG agency. You are USG funded aren't you?

  22. I have not seen a more successful coordinated psyop campaign than what I’ve seen with the YPG=Allkurds=BestFriendsForever. Master class in deception. Well played. Well played.

  23. Does that come with or without chemical weapons?

There is a big story here — some US officials along with the Kurdish leaders of the SDF pushed a narrative about a central role for the SDF in the killing of Baghdadi. Both Trump and General McKenzie downplayed it. What’s going on?

Seeing posts of how some 'intellectuals' are suddenly realising that Hezbollah is shit. I was just sent one video of one them crying. They don't owe me an apology. They can apologise to the Syrians whose humanity they've been denying all these years. Thread:

  26. Turkey is responsible for the groups it supports and these reports need to be addressed. Syrians didn’t rebel against Assad so he is replaced by bandits. There has to be more discipline and accountability.

leader Abu Bakr al- was an evil, barbaric man & his death in is a moment to celebrate. BUT the scale of ’s murder pales in comparison to ’s - the numbers speak for themselves, take a look:

  28. This Shia crescent is working out real well for . They destroyed Syria to link Iraq with Lebanon and now may stand to lose what they were trying to link. This was never about protecting a particular sect, but rather to control the masses. Now the masses calling their BS.

This is a reality that McGurk does not want to admit because he advocated using the SDF to fight ISIS & then folding them into the Assadist police state. All regime opponents outside of Trump's "Oil Region" are now in grave danger.

Iraqi protesters seized an Iranian sinper identified as Rasheed Bakhshi Nejat, DOB: 1985, who was dispatched to gun down Iraqi protesters. In this footage, the young protester says that this criminal man was shooting at students but we caught him and seized his ID and his stuff

  33. We did. Problematic para in beginning that set tone for whole article: “compel the Trump administration to resettle a significant number of Syrian Kurdish refugees in the United States on an expedited basis.”

  34. We didn’t say only bring Christian Iraqi translators or Hazara Afghans. We said anyone who helped us. That was my point and that of and Do you see my point?

  35. Oh I see. US policy. Implying double loyalty. Nice. Check with your team re confusing US interest with what’s good for the YPG and extreme Iraqi militias currently gunning down their people.

  36. Argument was rejected because it’s faulty: Kurds are vulnerable because of Turkey, thus they need asylum. It overlooks that Arabs are also at risk from that same action, because it led to their areas being handed back to regime. Ignoring this piece demonstrates bias.

  37. When you advocate for granting asylum for US supported civil society activists we abandoned, or white helmets we left high and dry in Dara’a as part of Brett’s push to hand area back to regime then we can seriously consider your argument.

  38. What makes you say Arabs are not vulnerable. What about Arabs in Manbij who opposed Assad and now may fall under his control? Not vulnerable? What about former SDF tribal members in Jazeera region. Or Raqqah.

  39. Simplistic is painting what’s happening as a war between Turkey & Kurds. YPG is not all Kurds and they persecute non-YPG Kurds and Arabs. All people living in NE now, which is 70 percent non Kurd are in danger from Turkey or regime in the areas that are being handed back to it.

: Are components of the not worth protecting? Do they not also deserve help with refugee claims in ? Or were they just a cover all along? **4 million** Sunni Arabs have been brutally killed or exiled from since 2011. Where's the recognition of that?
