Me for on Turkey's invasion of northeast Syria, the pan-European condemnation for Erdogan, and America's looming moral culpability for ethnic cleansing:

  2. I have yet again done my most cringeworthy thing I always do with London’s Albanian demi-monde which is inform them of my medieval Albanian ancestry and get embroiled in a long & heated conversation about late medieval South-Central Albanian demography

  3. Trump is 100% a good thing for Europe, not just for being inept in himself but in revealing how incapable and unworthy all the DC lanyard-wearers serving him are, who presume to rule us; and at delegitimising our local satraps who subject us to their rule

  4. Is Macron actually based? The question roiling European politics

  5. The more the Jeffreys & other inept DC figures reward Erdogan, the faster American hegemony declines: in the medium to long term this is good for Europe, Russia, and China, though it’s very unfair in the short term on the people of NE Syria

  6. Macron is just formalising what Erdogan has already proven: in an era of rapid American imperial decline, the optimum route for a medium-tier power is playing Russia & the US against each other. Being a loyal NATO ally is a mug’s game

  7. I always find it grating that the uniforms are completely incorrect for the period

There are efforts by Turkey to achieve its demographic change goals in Northeast Syria through international organisations. UN head's willingness to form a team to study the proposal and engage in discussions with Turkish authorities on the issue is deeply worrying and dangerous.

There's a lot of frenzied commentary about our interview with President Macron. For anybody seeking a deeper insight into his world view, his vision of a strategic Europe and the way he thinks, I really recommend taking the time to read the full transcript

I know I am fighting a 70y orthodoxy and a deeply rooted common wisdom. But I am convinced that, in all areas, we are entering a new era. NATO and US presence in Europe has to be examined in this context.

  21. This leads to the absurd situation where bodies like the SIG are afforded international recognition not for their effective governance (failed) nor military success (also failed) but solely for their patronage by a regionally powerful state:

The crisis Macron describes in detail is staring us in the face, and not talking about it openly, in some vain hope that things can be stitched back together “after Trump”, is dangerously delusional, and worse—irresponsible. 3/4
