What's the wavelength of sunlight that can cause this bond breakage?What type of electromagnetic radiation?
The bonds of oxygen molecules are broken by sunlight. The minimum energy required to break the oxygen-oxygen bond is 495 kJ/mol. What is the wavelength of sunlight that can cause this bond breakage? What type of electromagnetic radiation is this?
please help me! Show works if you can, thanks!

using equation h*f= energy.
f=E/h;(where h is Planck's constant)
=(495000)/(6.023*6.6 *10^23*10^-34)
just calculate it

The shortest wavelength means highest frequency (which means highest energy). Therefore choose the one that can go through you! X

this should be ultraviolet radiation coming from the sun. The wavelengths should be considered transverse waves.
hope this helps !!!
