Summary

This is very jarring for a user, and also happens when changing your avatar on the channel page.

Steps to reproduce

1. Make new account
2. Go through onboarding and upload your avatar
3. Go to your channel, see no avatar (tip: refresh it will appear).

Avatar doesn't appear until after refreshing.

What is the expected correct behavior?

Avatar should auto-update around the site.

Seen . I knew about this bug but worked around it instead of reporting it. I will be more diligent about reporting issues like this in the future.

I didn't realize I hadn't set a time on this. The issue extends far beyond what I initially thought, so its took more than 8 hours, including a good chunk of Saturday night, BUT that being said, if we can have avatar changing when you set it anywhere on the site, that'd be fantastic.

By my testing works well, but getting this on a subdomain like a revolver is going to be essential to be sure there are no regressions.
