Whilst I agree this is bs, keep in mind IGN is not a single reviewer and even within the company there are heavy disagreements on what a game should score.

The reviewer made some really good points in my opinion. How anyone can view a game filled with repetitive objectives and fetch quests as a masterpiece is beyond me. What he said is more important than the score.

They're completely different outlets, different authors, different opinions. There's no mystery or conspiracy here - one writer just so happened to like it a bit less than some other writers, and they happen to write for IGN US. Please don't perpetuate this nonsense, Kojima.

I would agree with you if the review was referenced like: Tristan Ogilvie - 6.8/10 But it's not; they clearly want the authors view to represent the companies view and you absolutely can't be surprised by it's users reactions.

I mean, I certainly don't think I'm going to like the game. I see nothing wrong with putting your own opinion on a piece even if it goes against the grain, in fact I think it's more important to be firm in that. I'd rather someone give an honest review than go "well, everyone 1/2
