City controlled by Turkish-backed Syrian oppo groups who expelled YPG in
#OperationOliveBranch in 2018. That’s a rather large bombing. Likely culprit: PKK/YPG, Regime, disenchanted oppo faction?https://twitter.com/putintintin1/status/1189791657547456512… -

Pathetic hatchet-job of outstanding public servant/diplomat/
#Turkey expert Jim#Jeffrey by critics too spineless to go on record. And since when does a reputable journalist repeatedly use “#Iran hawk” to describe a senior official? @ForeignPolicyhttps://foreignpolicy.com/2019/10/30/iran-hawks-botched-trump-syria-policy-james-jeffrey-turkey/… -
Flagging for
@VOADirector@VOANews. Double check your "journalists" cause this one seems to be moonlighting for#YPG. Cursory check of his postings makes it pretty clear. He's also an Islamophobe and just attacked another USG agency. You are USG funded aren't you? https://twitter.com/SirwanKajjo/status/1189888569973837824 …This Tweet is unavailable. -
I have not seen a more successful coordinated psyop campaign than what I’ve seen with the YPG=Allkurds=BestFriendsForever. Master class in deception. Well played. Well played.

There is a big story here — some US officials along with the Kurdish leaders of the SDF pushed a narrative about a central role for the SDF in the killing of Baghdadi. Both Trump and General McKenzie downplayed it. What’s going on?https://twitter.com/michaeldweiss/status/1189657238488662017…

Seeing posts of how some 'intellectuals' are suddenly realising that Hezbollah is shit. I was just sent one video of one them crying. They don't owe me an apology. They can apologise to the Syrians whose humanity they've been denying all these years. Thread:

Turkey is responsible for the groups it supports and these reports need to be addressed. Syrians didn’t rebel against Assad so he is replaced by bandits. There has to be more discipline and accountability.https://twitter.com/elizrael/status/1189609072770928640…

This Shia crescent is working out real well for
#IRGC. They destroyed Syria to link Iraq with Lebanon and now may stand to lose what they were trying to link. This was never about protecting a particular sect, but rather to control the masses. Now the masses calling their BS.https://twitter.com/joyce_karam/status/1189595943861178368…0:27 -

This is a reality that McGurk does not want to admit because he advocated using the SDF to fight ISIS & then folding them into the Assadist police state. All regime opponents outside of Trump's "Oil Region" are now in grave danger. https://newrepublic.com/amp/article/155475/syria-withdrawals-victims?__twitter_impression=true …

Iraqi protesters seized an Iranian sinper identified as Rasheed Bakhshi Nejat, DOB: 1985, who was dispatched to gun down Iraqi protesters. In this footage, the young protester says that this criminal man was shooting at students but we caught him and seized his ID and his stuffpic.twitter.com/tuh6ZhxIJp

We did. Problematic para in beginning that set tone for whole article: “compel the Trump administration to resettle a significant number of Syrian Kurdish refugees in the United States on an expedited basis.”https://twitter.com/lizydent/status/1189568359337209857…

Oh I see. US policy. Implying double loyalty. Nice. Check with your team re confusing US interest with what’s good for the YPG and extreme Iraqi militias currently gunning down their people.https://twitter.com/lizydent/status/1189565238431178754…

Argument was rejected because it’s faulty: Kurds are vulnerable because of Turkey, thus they need asylum. It overlooks that Arabs are also at risk from that same action, because it led to their areas being handed back to regime. Ignoring this piece demonstrates bias.https://twitter.com/lizydent/status/1189564169927958529…
-
When you advocate for granting asylum for US supported civil society activists we abandoned, or white helmets we left high and dry in Dara’a as part of Brett’s push to hand area back to regime then we can seriously consider your argument.https://twitter.com/lizydent/status/1189556288080039942…
-
What makes you say Arabs are not vulnerable. What about Arabs in Manbij who opposed Assad and now may fall under his control? Not vulnerable? What about former SDF tribal members in Jazeera region. Or Raqqah.https://twitter.com/lizydent/status/1189548816858529792…

Simplistic is painting what’s happening as a war between Turkey & Kurds. YPG is not all Kurds and they persecute non-YPG Kurds and Arabs. All people living in NE now, which is 70 percent non Kurd are in danger from Turkey or regime in the areas that are being handed back to it.https://twitter.com/lizydent/status/1189548820528615424…

This is so upsetting. Unarmed protestors gunned down by the very government ostensibly meant to protect them. What’s the point of defeating ISIS if you turn around and kill your people?
