    It might be such a deal, but I think the regime withdrawal is mainly a message to the YPG who insist on maximalist political demands and works with the US to deny the regime the oil fields which is much needed for the regime to have a sustainable presence in northeast Syria.

    Today Turkey has released the 18 regime captives to Russia. This move is a mistake. The regime soldiers should have been exchanged for prisoners in the regime prisons. Many SNA fighters are frustrated over this step by Turkey. Such a move may have other effects for the future..

    The same which is going on since years. CENTCOM officials have been manipulating the American public for years. I wonder if there isn't one investigative journalist who may look into this matter and how this disrupted the Turkish-American relations.

    There is a big story here — some US officials along with the Kurdish leaders of the SDF pushed a narrative about a central role for the SDF in the killing of Baghdadi. Both Trump and General McKenzie downplayed it. What’s going on?
