Ways to Pay
Grants
Grants are gift aid, which come from the state, federal government or the college, that the student does not have to pay back.
Scholarships
Money awarded by third-party groups to students who meet various scholarship criteria. These do not require repayment.
Loans
Loans are financial aid that must be paid pack. The student must complete entry-loan counseling, and must be registered for 6 credit hours.
Student Jobs
Student employment, can be both federally funded (work-study) or jobs and internships at PPCC or in the community.

FAFSA
The FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, FAFSA. This is the application for all types of financial aid: grants, loans, or college work-study.
Cost of Education
The cost of education includes tuition, fees, a room and board allowance, books, supplies, a transportation allowance and a personal expense allowance.
Financial Need
Financial need is the difference between the cost of education and the expected family contribution calculated by the federal processing center.
