This is one route but the most used is those via the regime held areas. You pay the YPG (price is a bit higher if you're imprisoned) , they bring you to the smugglers in regime areas, mostly regime officers. Suknah-Palmyra-east Hama-Idlib Tabqah-Dayr Khafer-south Aleppo-Idlib

WOW Some SDF/YPG officials have been smuggling ISIS families to Idlib, according to BBC. This may partly explain how Baghdadi ended up in Idlib

The 9th Division of the has announced the defection of a commander near Ayn Issa. This is very interesting as the 9th Division is the former Hazzm Movement, the first faction in Syria to receive US-supplied TOW missiles. They were forced out by Nusra & regrouped in ES

The US president repeatedly underlined that it was a sole US operation and that only a small group was informed about it. Some Pentagon officials and Pentagon correspondents are still trying to make a propaganda show for the YPG out of it.

This story is getting weird. I think I will wait until the official declaration from Trump than trying to figure out what happened based on unnamed Turkish, American, Iraqi, Iranian and other officials who might tell the media something as well.
