A lot of people including me think 2nd message is unfair and inappropriate as from a vanguard.
I understood the message to be: If you dislike Ingress and already rated it 1 star, evidenced by the screenshots of Play Store showing a clear split in 5 star or 1 star ratings, then consider how your ratings negatively affect the chance that new players will download the game.pic.twitter.com/tFLhm0klJe

If you want new players to join the game we care deeply about and want our team to understand how we can improve Ingress, then the forum is a place to share suggestions and it, like Play Store ratings, is reviewed by our team even if there isn’t a personal reply to each post.
