I recently purchased this gimbal and I really like it.
The gimbal has great features and take great videos. I used it for a few different applications so far and it did a great job. Even the simplest projects look like good movies because of the stability.
The follow-me function falls off sometimes if you move too fast, but if you make the square around the object big enough it will follow pretty well.
I purchased an $8 tripod (Zeadio) and it works great with this gimbal.
The gimbal can actually be held three different ways (standard upright, side ways, or upside down) to record. I noticed that you have to swing the gimbal to the left to get to the upside down mode so as not to make the phone flip and do a crazy dance.
I did not charge the battery out of the box, and it has been lasting for at least the three to four days I have been trying it out and using it.
I have a few projects that I plan to work on this this. The video did stutter twice, but I think it is the phone itself. Other than that, it is a great tool.
There are little stickers that come with it which are the phone slide resistance stickers, although the rubber on the gimbal holds the phones pretty tight.
Downloading the firmware helps the follow me mode tremendously.
This is a great video recording tool.

Affordable and Functional Gimbal

Used this gimbal for my 3-days trip, I made lots of high quality videos and very easy to carry. It is even able to put into my pocket.

Quality: Body Material is alloy with rubber handle. Use it very comfortable.
Control: User friendly. Three buttons design will NOT make users to confuse how to operate it.
Mode: There are various shooting modes
1st Click: Turn left/right to follow the handle
2nd Click: Always Point to the one direction you set
3rd Click: Turn left/right/up/down to follow the handle (If use iPhone 11 wide angle, the gimbal arm sometimes come into the screen, only the point a little bit not unsatisfactory)
4th Click: 360 degree to follow the handle
5th Click: 360 degree rotate your cell phone to make the creative videos. This is a function only utilize in the expensive gimbal, but this portable gimbal even has it. Love it.
Price: Affordable price. Less than $150 but include lot of functions.

Overall, this gimbal is good to balance my cell phone, include lot of modes, easy to operate. It is worth the money.

Not satisfied with killing off the pocket camera, smartphones are now supplanting same DSLRs as the preferred device for capturing photo and video.
While, smartphones typically take great photos these days, there’s still room for improvement where video is concerned.
The Zhiyun Smooth- Q2 is a smartphone gimbal, meaning it clamps onto your phone and physically stabilizes, it to counteract bumps and shakes when shooting video. But considering how much we all shoot video on our mobiles these days, and the rather obvious desire for it to be as smooth as possible, Mobil gimbals are kind of for everyone.
Locking your phone in the gimbal is as simple as sliding the clamp open and popping your phone in then latching it to the gimbal. There’s no tricky balancing or calibration required: just power it on and the gimbal instantly finds its level.
Compared to most other smartphone gimbals, the Smooth - Q2 is tiny.
The Zhiyun Smooth- Q2 is made of aluminum, which is a nice upgrade from the plastic Smooth Q. and most other mobile gimbals.
Absolutely. If you know you want a mobile gimbal already, the Zhiyun Smooth- Q2 is a great buy.

Pretty straightforward, I was able to figure out how to work it just by reading the instructions. Sometimes you have to look up videos for these kind of things, But this one wasn’t too bad. The video is very smooth, and I like the triple click for selfie function that is has. It’s also very nice in that it is small enough to fit in a decent size pocket. My other gimbal is definitely too big for that, which makes this style preferable for hikes and such that you don’t want to carry a bunch of weight around on. The estimated delivery date was for the end of October, but it came much earlier than that, which was very, very nice! Also, because of the adjustment mechanism, I’m pretty sure I can hold almost any size of cell phone, which is very handy. It comes with an app you can use for object tracking and a standby mode. It also came with a tripod stand which I’m super stoked about as I love to take sunset and sunrise timelapses. I can’t really think of any cons that I’ve run into so far, but I haven’t used it a crazy ton either. However, with my experience that’s far, I don’t expect really any problems.

Terrible support and troubleshooting

I was extremely happy with this product when I first got it. Build quality is excellent and it worked fantastic. I got about 6 uses out of it and then all of a sudden it just stopped working correctly. I have spent so much time researching the issue and its just dead in the water. First the gimble was just dying. So I thought I needed to just charge it. Would give it a full charge, turn it on, it would work for a few seconds, then die. I figured maybe it needed a software update. Figured out how to update firmware, updated it and that seemed to fix the problem. It stays powered on, but now the joystick doesn't work! I can't seem to find any support on this so I feel like I just have a paperweight now. Going to just buy a DJI Osmo instead. At least I know they have better product support.
