Real fun would be Erdogan and Syrian Kurdish YPG leader Mazloum Abdi (Ferdi Abdi Şahin) visiting Washington same week. I just wonder about Erdogan’s reaction to a senior PKK leader’s official visit to Washington 🍿 🍿

Looks like Turkey will need the FSA / SNA for a couple of additional offensives. Bad result for Turkey but good for the rebels I guess.

Turkish-Russian escalation loading... After the US, now the Russians seem to be trying the same with Turkey. Is it so hard to understand Turkey’s position?! Today, Russian soldiers patrolled together with Kobane Military Council, the YPG and now this:

the PKK/YPG started this mess when they bet on Assad's victory and helped him along in Aleppo. be careful what you wish for. they would have got better treatment had they backed the rebels to at least partial victory. 0 to do with ISIS.

Basically, Iran took advantage of the situation to continue to degrade Iraq's military structure by expelling senior generals and not the ones behind the killings. Great.

: The piece also accuses State of suggesting U.S. troops would stay in [part of] , with or without the /. But that's not outrageous, it's entirely feasible - given (1) al-Tanf & MaT & (2) the reality that most Arab components in Deir ez Zour are anti-.

: The sources also complain about State expecting them to "meet with jihadists." Given that officials have told me (& others) that the White Helmets "are " and "," this claim about meeting with them is invaluable at best within a serious debate.

The claims in this article are great for grabbing attention, but they lack a more sensible addition of context & accuracy. - State was *not* pushing the to "work with" the ; they were trying to re-start detente negotiations as a CBM for the in-place "security mechanism"

This was 2015, two years after Assad’s chemical attack on Eastern Ghouta and two years into the starvation siege of the Yarmouk refugee camp: and lent a vehicle to the regime to be used as a wedding limo for loyalists.

For years these analysts, journalists and researchers led the Kurdish community to believe and trust USA but all was destroyed in 48 hours, now they are promoting that the regime is strong enough to act against Turkey in favour of the Kurds. This won't happen

Pro \ analysts and journalists now expect too much from a regime that not able to: 1-control border crossing with Jordan 2-failing to control its militias in Alawite-majority areas 3-failing to secure Homs eastern countryside from ISIS without direct Russian support

Jeffery knows there is no way Turkey can accept any Kurdish group afflicted with PKK & he tried his best with sdf to tell them you have to change they did not listen. What Jeffery said at the senate he has been saying it for the last 15 years. Check the records

Since it was the PKK which carried the attack, all the people who screamed "Turkey Genocide" won't care at all. It was crocodiles tears from the beginning.
