I hate to be negative but the country was doomed the second people accepted non-state controlled entities who don't really answer to anyone being given power. Whether or not they fought ISIS, their political price was always too high.
I remember being called every bad name in the book for warning of Hashd from day one. Also their role in fighting ISIS was ridiculously over-hyped. They did most of the looting afterwards though.

There is absolutely no comparison between SDF or even YPG and Asaeb Ahlul Haq, Kataeb Hezzbollah, and other groups backed by IRGC. Literally zero comparisons can be made.
