    We heard from the top political official of the Syrian Democratic Council that Turkish-backed jihadi forces are seeking to wipe out the Syrian Kurds and that hundreds of ISIS fighters are escaping. McConnell must stop stalling and allow a vote on the bipartisan sanctions bill.

    I am Turkish. I am a former government official. And I believe that the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, the PKK — described by President Trump as worse than the Islamic State — is not a terrorist organ. We are taught that all Kurds are a threat because of PKK
