  2. There are still some people in the US who claim there are no ties between PKK and Syrian Kurdish YPG/SDF My article from 2016, extensively explains PKK, YPG ties, lots of references to original PYD/YPG documents, testimonies etc

  3. Pentagon used to call its relationship with YPG “temporary” and “transactional” but this was forgotten over time. Some in Washington began to call that proxy militant group an “ally”. Now Pentagon started to return to the original view: 👇👇👇👇

I just received some horrible news from Samalka/PYD/YPG controlled border crossing on the Syrian side. They are not letting refugees out. I know a few Syrian Kurds who tried to leave this morning, and PYD is not letting them go.

  6. LOL so CENTCOM leadership, as usual, made commitments above their pay grade, despite the USG statements that their relationship with Syrian Kurdish YPG was transactional and temporary

Also, somebody should tell Trump and Esperanto that most of those Syrian oil fields are on Sunni Arab land - and the people who live there don't want the Kurds in control.

Who is going to tell Trump and Secretary Esperanto that the Kurds sell the oil to the Assad regime, so Trump now has U.S. troops on guard duty for Assad's oil.

  16. Corruption is veryyyyyyyyyyy traceable. Remember that 5 out of 5 former Presidents of Peru are currently in jail. We have more tools today to dig stuff in the past. Would like to see a dozen kleptocrats in Lebanon behind bars.

  17. GOOD NEWS Kleptocrats in should realize is that every financial transaction done on Planet Earth since 2005 is traceable (the aftermath of Sep 11). Even if one uses prête-noms. Even if one uses cryptocurrencies, art work, etc. You cannot hide anything anymore.

  19. For nearly two decades, everyone was saying the US invaded Iraq because of oil. Syria doesn’t have much oil, but somehow the idea of continuing US presence in the country is framed in terms of securing the oil, to make it work for the US President & his audience.

This reinforces every stereotype/accusation/ of US involvement in the Middle East and is incredibly dehumanizing. Just when you think this admin couldn’t do any more damage....🤦🏻‍♀️

The irony is I think they're using the oil as a way to get POTUS to keep troops in Syria for non oil reasons. But try explaining that to your uncle at iftaar.
