First Baptist Academy names new head of school

First Baptist Academy’s Board of Trustees announced Wednesday that Jason Lovvorn has been named its new head of school.

Lovvorn, an alumnus of the school, began working at First Baptist in 2008 after graduating from Baylor University. He was named head football coach in 2009, Saints athletic director in 2010 and dean of students in 2011. In 2013, he took the Saints varsity football team to its first state title, capping an undefeated season.

Lovvorn, who will continue as head football coach, replaces Brian Littlefield as head of school. Littlefield resigned after accepting a job as head of school at Central Texas Christian School in Tyler. For more information, visit fbacademy.com/apps/news.
