  同じ楕円球という点では、確かに形は似ていますが、まず重さも違いますしね。アメフトのボールよりもラグビーボールの方が重いのだそうです。

  合成皮革の前の皮の頃は、滑りやすく雨の日はスクラムだけで終わりました。ちなみにラグビーリーグのボールはアメフトのものにちょっと似ています

  去年まで文字変換でしか出てこなかったので、このツイートでいま気づきました。あと、現在使われているラグビーボールは、ほとんど「シームレス」なので、文字変換で出てくるも古いのですけどね…
