Principal Reporting & Automation AnalystJob Description
The Principal Reporting & Automation Analyst is responsible for identifying and implementing process automation and application improvements that significantly impact efficiency, quality and internal/external client satisfaction. This position is responsible for designing, developing and managing maintenance for application reporting and automation tools for processes defined within the department. This position is also responsible for user support and works with leadership to establish automation goals by acting as a business and technology owner for the business unit.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and subject matter expertise on Prime corporate projects, Road Map efforts and application development
- Lead the development and implementation of reporting and automation solutions
- Leverage advanced knowledge of SQL, Access and Tableau, as well as deep knowledge of Prime’s practices and automation tools and applications, to develop solutions to a variety of complex problems
- Gather information and analyze opportunities in order to establish and prioritize automation goals
- Provide work direction, performance feedback and training and development opportunities to Reporting and Automation Analysts/Seniors to ensure goals and performance expectations are met
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Math, Computer Science, IT, Economics, Statistics, Finance or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is required
- 10 years of work experience in programming (Visual Basic, C#, .Net, Java, or comparable languages)
- 10 years of work experience in reporting (SQL, SAS Enterprise Guide and/or ad hoc Query Tools) and data analysis
- 10 years of work experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access (building Pivot Tables, Formula functions, Macros, etc.)
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship
Additional Qualifications
- Advanced Skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access (Macros, VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.) VBA Programming, SQL Server skills, Database development and Stored Procedure programming
- Proven track record with process improvement or new application development
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
Preferred Qualifications
- PBM/health care experience
- Experience with RxClaim
- Experience creating and implementing programs for automation
- Leadership or management experience

- Reports to a Manager or Director in the Product & Program Analytics department
