Those monuments were put in place by Dixie lads after the war, and they were the only thing placating Southern folk. As a Dixie man myself this makes me mad as hell, but the logical part of me recognizes the value in their removal. Once our history is removed, people will be forced to act. Why aren't there armed men defending these? Every city in the south has a legion of civil war reenactors. Why don't they show up in uniform, with bayonets affixed damnit!? Fuck.
