In 2014 a second coastal attack was launched, against civilians were killed, enslaved including Armenians. I remember the Western press attacking Kim Kardishian for condemning the attack back then. That was it, Kim had more morals than all Western leadership.
Interesting to speculate how/if the international reaction would have differed if the 2015 Jaish al-Fatah offensive had pushed deeply into largely Alawite rural Latakia, as for a while seemed likely

In 2013 they stormed many of our villages, killed, enslaved hundreds of civilians. Not a single country said a word, the Western press said nothing, only HRW documented the crime and to this day we thank them for this, if it was not for HRW no one would have known.

Actually if you look up in
@JKhashoggi account you can find him almost celebrating the 2014 attack, saying that the Alawites are about to be displaced to Lebanon as I remember ... This is the type of sympathy we got from the West, we are all criminals until proven innocent. - 1 more reply
