    The / has to call its proxy opponents "jihadists" and claim they are former members for Narrative purposes, of course. Their whole Western image is secular values-sharers resisting the Islamist hordes. Fine. It's not especially useful analytically.

    After 8 years of not knowing the whereabouts of my uncle after he was abducted and thrown in Seydnaya prison (Syria’s slaughterhouse) by Assad. We have received the news of his passing earlier today, he was tortured to death. Please keep my uncle and my family in your prayers.
