I’ve spent years reporting from Syria. The world has tuned out. A question I ask a lot these days - is it still bearing witness if the daily horrors in Syria are broadcast in real time & it feels like nobody is watching any more & nothing is being done?

We watched as they waited in the sun to be transferred. Children with worried faces. These are mostly family members of Daesh fighters. FSA told us they were from Ain Issa camp and that the YPG had let them go in their retreat.

On scene overlooking Ras al Ayn, Syria as of 0930 local time. I can confirm that heavy fighting continues in the city; mortars, machine-gun fire, rifles and grenades. I’ve not heard any artillery or air-dropped weapons at this point.
