These phrases didn’t exist before 1900! There used to be a time when a Turk had more friends than just a Turk. And Kurds had more friends than mountains. Unless we go back to the pre-1900 spirit with a 2019 model, suffering will be our bed and bread.

In the Sykes-Picot order, there are no powerful nations in Middle Eat. There is weak and the weaker. Nations united on common values in a democratic union wouldn’t have had to live by re hormonal changes and mood swings of a lunatic man in DC.

Currently, every single city on the planet that is bombed looks like this! Whether the perpetrator is US, Russia, Turkey, Saudi, Israel or UAE,every city bombed is a city of mosques! This is from NE Syria (Rojava) but it can be Gaza, San’a, Aleppo or Tripoli! Let that sink in.

Remember as a child in the mosque, you would ask the imam where someone would face when praying in space and he would too readily dismiss the question as nonsense. Well, imam saheb, have I got news for you...

Somewhere in his ‘mind’ Trump is thinking ‘The dead are all Moslems after all’ and I am surprised he hasn’t tweeted it yet.

Yesterday I shared a hostel room with an Orthodox Christian from Africa. After I prayed morning prayer, he also started praying, standing and raising hands almost the way I did. He read Bible standing while I read Quran sitting. And I know, God heard, watched & loved both of us.

What we need is a collective realization that the Sykes-Picot order are not serving anyone. Kurds are the greatest losers of this order but they aren’t the only one. And only God knows what will be the next tragedy: another Syria in Turkey? Another Halabja in Iran?

Many do not understand the tectonic change the peace process between Turkey and PKK would have produced had it succeeded. Today, the region is back to square one. Everyone is a loser is except Sykes-Picot borders, its nationalist worshippers and dictators.

Abdullah Ocalan, the imprisoned leader of PKK, has one of the most progressive visions for Middle East. It is almost the leftist version of the vision Erdogan once held: Greater Middle East united through a democratic confederation between nations.

Any average Kurd and Turk is a thousand times more decent than this Trump thing. Just a little over a century ago, Mazlum Kobani and Erdogan would be friends drinking tea somewhere in Istanbul. These wars are not endless. They had a beginning and need to end.

Regardless of how messed up things have become just in one week, remember: - This is a war to protect Sykes-Picot borders and demographic change - The only real winners are Assad and Kemalism - This war has nothing to do with Islam - Kurds, Turks and Arabs need new leaderships.

Those who advocated for this war and supported it especially amongst the conservative circles will soon see the damage it did to everything they stood for! A dumb war which served everyone from Bashar Assad to Arab dictators to Kemalists. What a sad end for AK Parti.

It is sad when something one warns about for days come true one by one I am just gutted at all the ‘Allahu Akbars’ abused in the name of faith while fighting to protect Sykes-Picot borders

This is what we shouldn’t allow: Using the Turkish invasion to whitewash Assad Assad remains the most brutal evil person alive. It is sad that we have gotten to a point where kids is N Syria feels safer under him but Assad was the root of all evil we saw and see.

Dad gave his 9 sons a pencil each. Asked them to break it. They all did easily. Then put 9 pencils togeher. Told youngest son to break them. He broke them too. ‘So?’ asked the sons, ‘what was the wisdom?’ ‘There was wisdom’ said the heartbroken dad,‘But your brother s*** in it’

Simplistic. When one uses my faith against me, I won’t give it to him. Especially if it is used for a clear non-Islamist goal, my challenge is more justified. And when using faith is his PR strategy, I don’t help it by saying I am what he says I am.
