Even Syrian Opposition friendly analysts and pundits have fallen for the “critique only the Syrian Opposition” trap that is so strangely prevalent in the West, while ignoring or downplaying the truly atrocious (and in reality worse) conduct of other sides (Assad, SDF, US, etc.)

Terrible analogy, but the end result of grouping “Kurds” as monolithic, KRG in N Iraq are very different from PKK-controlled SDF in Syria (KDPI in Iran different again)—letting Iranian Mullahs consolidate their grip on Iraq is different to a benign group like FSA replacing PKK

Thinking of returning to Tweeting about the ongoing [] in the East Euphrates. The problem is, is a completely corrupt and unaccountable entity that can suspend you at any time, for no reason at all. So it honestly seems pointless.

The truth is it isn’t just that is the problem—it’s the user base of idiots just chasing the next Retweet while not actually caring about the subject of at all, or the preservation of history. Regardless of biases, it’s the same foolishness but different labels.
