    私の拙い思考では、どう考えてもボリスが進めようとしているEUとの交渉案がうまくいくとは思えず、限られた時間の中で新たな合意を得ることは難しいと思うのだが、それでも楽観的な報道が流れるのが、いまだに理解できていない。あるとしても法律に従って延期するくらいしか手はないと思うのだが…。

    FIFA President Gianni Infantino is flying to Pyongyang today to observe the North vs South Korea match at Kim Il Sung stadium. Hopefully, questions will be asked about the lack of foreign media, fans and pretty much anyone with a South Korean passport. More soon from

    BBC英語も "bodies smashed and bones ground to powder"としてた。でも、文脈から日本語の粉骨砕身とも違う気が。それだと賊反荷杖案件になりそう。どっちかというと「無駄な犠牲」みたいな感じ？

    トルコ制裁、CISADAのような二次制裁を含むことになっているが、本当に履行可能なのか疑問。EUとの関税同盟もあるし、ロシアとのつながりもある。イラン制裁があってもトルコはイランから石油やガスを輸入していたし、アメリカの二次制裁がどこまで影響を発揮するかは送る側の問題にもなりそう。

    The combination of Section 1(a)(i)(D)'s broad econ threat and Section 3's CISADA-like secondary sanctions are potentially lethal to Turkey. I predict a pretty sharp, broad market reaction starting in like 10 minutes as compliance folks around the world start to clue in to this.

    I think two things are true: 1) it is absolutely the case that the sanctions announced -- thus far -- will do very little to change Erdogan's calculations; and, 2) it is also the case that if fully implemented the sanctions outlined in the EO can actually decimate Turkey's econ.

    .’s newly-announced sanctions against Turkey fall very short of reversing the humanitarian disaster brought about by his own erratic decision-making.
