Viewed from Moscow, this is parallel universe stuff. Whatever anyone’s opinion of Assad, fact is his forces, with Russian air support, had a bigger influence in defeating ISIS in Syria than anything the US did. It was Assad/Russia which drove ISIS out of Palmyra/Deir ez-Zor etc

Most honest tweet from a US politician you'll find. ISIS is just a group of mercenaries, like Al Qaeda, and it just so happens that Turkey was their backbone, until Russia smashed it. ISIS is not just some roaming bunch of barbaric settlers. Israelis, on the other hand, are.

I have an idea for you, how about not creating ISIS in the first place? i.e, not sponsoring the mujahideen in Afghanistan, invasion of Iraq, bombing of Libya, supporting the jihadists in Syria. I know it’s radical idea but try it

In accordance with the deals reached with SDF, the SAA has entered Tabqa airport. Five years ago ISIS committed a brutal massacre against the garrison of the base, who fought until the last breath as the SAA's final bastion in the entire governorate of Raqqa.

The media seems shocked that the Kurds might choose to side with Assad even though their survival depends on it, they teamed up during the war, they share a common enemy in Turkish-backed extremists, and millions of other minorities in Syria chose to side with Assad years ago.

One of the ironies of the Syrian war is that the Syrian Army that's liberating every inch of from the terrorists & foreign occupiers is called the "Assad Forces" by the MSM. Meanwhile, the radical mercenaries of are called the "Syrian National Army".

Syrian Kurds are needed in the game: 1. will not be welcomed. It’s role will be decreased anyway: (incl PKK) to transfer heavy weapons to SAA 2.Turks should have limits (within ), so Kurds should be there 3.Without Kurds is limited in manpower to control NE
