    Re. the foreign ISIS prisoners that could now come under Assad's control, I have to say I don't think Western governments will mind all that much. They can wash their hands of them and say the regime is the legitimate government of Syria and we have no diplomatic relations.

  8. Syria's Kurds have a rough history under Assad's rule. Their rights were stolen. They weren't allowed to have the Syrian citizenship or to study in Kurdish language. Kurds weren't allowed to even name their children Kurdish names. Every Kurd in Syria had two names and one pain.

    Tons of Kurds are wanted by the regime. When the regime takes control of Kurdish areas, there will almost certainly be a new round of activists being hunted down, imprisoned, and tortured.

    I've just spoken to my relatives in and they are really anxious from handing over the city to Assad regime. The regime will revenge from everyone who participated in any anti-regime activities in the past few years, not only in Raqqa but in every Syrian city and village.
