South Korea is more heavily Americanized than Japan OP. Consequently it has things like a "Ministry of Women", proactive feminist groups and perhaps most alarmingly, the most liberal immigration and naturalization laws in the region.

As a left leaning faggot, I believe women should be allowed to vote too.

Why? Because, I believe every single people are intrinsically selfish in nature.
If only a particular group of people are allowed to vote, every political movement will start catering to that certain demographic instead of serving the country as a whole.

However, I also see why you would oppose that.
But, I think the problem is in the mentality of voters as a whole rather than in the gender.


First, the mindset that EVERYONE should vote.

You know that right? Right before the voting session comes along, some random faggoty politicians come on TV and pressure people to vote.
They do their bullshit smile and say "Everyone should exercise their rights as a civilian!"
The pressure exists everywhere; on TVs, in public spaces, while talking with colleagues, they pressure you to vote.
"Vote now, the democracy starts with you!"
In reality, only degeneracy starts when EVERYONE is pressured to vote.

Because of this attitude, not many people give deep thoughts or consideration before they vote.
They follow the in-crowd and assume that everything would be OK if they only vote.

For instance, if a person feels like he/she doesn't give enough a shit about politics and do not have any prior knowledge to help him/she vote, leave her/him the fuck alone.
Instead, the government and the society pressures these oblivious person and makes him vote which fills the vote statistic with sheeps that has no idea who or what they voted for.
They just vote for someone familiar.


As a result, politics becomes an arena for coverage, not an arena for political ideas.



Secondly, people vote with feelz.

I suppose the reason you oppose to women voting is for this reason.
Women are biologically more inclined to think emotionally instead of logically.
But I think that actually applies to everyone.
People vote with their gut feeling instead of actually investigating or looking at candidate's platforms.

After listening to a few popular candidates, they think to themselves…
"Hmm, does that make my ego cock hard? or not…"

So politicians starts talking about shit that everyone would LIKE rather that what would actually benefit the society.
"Let's give married gays EXACTLY the same rights as a normal married couple despite different societal functions! Yeah, that makes you fuzzy inside don't it?"

"I will bolster our economy!"

Rather than trying to appeal to logic, they appeal to emotion.
Which is why politicians in my country loves to exploit regional tensions for their own use.
