    If you follow how many in the region/Syria reacted to the Turkish intervention, you maybe notice how they perceive Erdogan in Ottoman terms. Or at least behave as such. You'll find parallels in this book that recommended a while back

    I‘ve been reading this book since Nibras recommended it here, and it’s really great. Some of the descriptions of events in those olden days would force you to think of very recent events.

    The president told reporters today that “we have no soldiers in Syria.” The US has 1,000 soldiers in Syria. This is extreme, up-is-down deception. It’ll get very little coverage. My fact check:

    「地球史上最大級、カテゴリー6相当の台風」と煽るスポニチの記事、明らかに誤訳。 元はワシントンポストの記事だが 「地球温暖化が進めば、将来の台風に対してカテゴリー6を増設する必要があるかもしれない」 という内容。要警戒なのは分かるが、徒に煽らないでほしい。

    もう溜息も出ないが、「台風19号は地球史上最大級」も誤訳。 原文では「西太平洋地域は一般的に地球上で最も強い台風が発生する海域だ」とあるだけ。 こんなにデタラメな情報がトレンド1位になっているところを見ると、SNSの負の側面は深い闇だと思う。
