    「地球史上最大級、カテゴリー6相当の台風」と煽るスポニチの記事、明らかに誤訳。 元はワシントンポストの記事だが 「地球温暖化が進めば、将来の台風に対してカテゴリー6を増設する必要があるかもしれない」 という内容。要警戒なのは分かるが、徒に煽らないでほしい。

    もう溜息も出ないが、「台風19号は地球史上最大級」も誤訳。 原文では「西太平洋地域は一般的に地球上で最も強い台風が発生する海域だ」とあるだけ。 こんなにデタラメな情報がトレンド1位になっているところを見ると、SNSの負の側面は深い闇だと思う。

    Mass flight of civilians away from the border continues. Civilians have fled Amûdê as well. Qamişlo was shelled again today. A friend in Qamişlo said he wants to flee to Dêrik with his young children, who won't stop crying, "but there are no cars available anymore."

    Turkish forces and their Syrian factions are making gains on the ground against the SDF in NE Syria. It appears that the initial goal of the operation is to cut the roads leading from Dirbêsiyê to Ras al-Ayn and from Ras al-Ayn to Tel Abyad.
