Donald Trump is facing a new storm of outrage after he declined to correct a supporter in New Hampshire who boldly claimed in front of a crowd at a campaign stop that President Barack Obama is a Muslim and ‘not even an American.’

The rally began with a Q&A session, and it started with a bang. “We have a problem in this country. It’s called Muslims,” the first question began. “You know, our current president is one. You know, he’s not even an American. We have training camps growing where they want to kill us. That’s my question, when can we get rid of them?”

Obama was actually born in Hawaii, but Donald decided not to point that out, which isn’t all that surprising. Donald has made his skepticism about the President’s citizenship clear on several occasions, and continuously insisted that Obma produce his birth certificate for proof. Although he didn’t verbally give his opinion either way at Thursday’s rally, he did give a pretty telling response to another supporter.

“I applaud the gentleman who stood and said Obama is a Muslim born abroad and about the military camps. Everyone knows that,” another member of the crowd said. The real estate mogul simply responded, “Right,” seemingly agreeing with the statement.

Donald’s campaign team has claimed he did not hear the question clearly, and the 69-year-old — whose book you can buy here — himself issued a statement about the controversial situation. “The media wants to make this issue about Obama,” he told The Washington Post. “The bigger issue is that Obama is waging a war against Christians. Christians need support in this country. Their religious liberty is at stake.”
