I think the idea here was to replace the signup modal with a new modal for Pro sites which subscribes you to their channel when you sign up and is rebranded with their scheme. I don't think this is necessary immediatey, however, a branded signup modal on pro sites will certainly increase our signups.

@ottman is right. It behaves similarly to minds.com signup modal, but instead of just checking if user is logged out, it should be shown if the visitor is logged out OR not subscribed to the Pro channel.
