Immortals of Afrin resistance against Turkish/jihadi savages. Best of us, better than all of us.

Just spoke to Sen about situation in Syria. We will introduce bipartisan sanctions against Turkey if they invade Syria and will call for their suspension from NATO if they attack Kurdish forces who assisted the U.S. in the destruction of the ISIS Caliphate.

Mr. President: With all due respect, none of this is true. I’d recommend having meetings with your experts and policy team before making historic life-and-death decisions. Making such decisions after a one-off call from a foreign leader is malpractice.

There is no higher disgrace to America than the abandonment of the Kurds, fighters for freedom and independence, to the hard-right forces of Erdoğan. Every American should hang their head in shame.

Do you support Turkey's imminent military campaign in northern Syria?

Also, if this plan goes forward will introduce Senate resolution opposing and asking for reversal of this decision. Expect it will receive strong bipartisan support.

I don’t know all the details regarding President Trump’s decision in northern Syria. In process of setting up phone call with Secretary Pompeo. If press reports are accurate this is a disaster in the making.

This is a tragic mistake that will echo for generations.

What the White House has approved is not an "operation". It is an ethnic cleansing campaign against Kurds and other minorities of Northern Syria by vile dictators and the state of Turkey.

The Kurds and their allies gave over 11 000 lives in the fight against ISIS. ISIS, who was both supported and enabled by Turkey. There are no words for this sick game.

This line from the WH statement shows they have no idea wtf they are doing. Turkey will recruit these imprisoned ISIS fighters to help them ethnically cleanse the Kurdish population of N. Syria. Turkey fueled the growth of ISIS, Erdogan's son in law even smuggled oil from ISIS.

Disgusting Trump mouthpiece. At least stand behind your betrayal instead of making up imaginary YPG attacks making reference to Turkish state's propaganda channel.

The first consequences of the US withdrawal & failure of the Security Mechanism Agreement: Syrian regime forces backed by Russia prepare to move militarily towards the city of Manbij. We said earlier that any Turkish attack would have bad consequences for the whole region.

The security mechanism was symbolic. A Turkish invasion will be all out and genocidal. Historic opportunity for Turkey to crush Kurdish autonomy in Rojava which is the biggest inspiration and hope for Kurds of Turkey in two centuries.
