    This is huge, if not unexpected. SDF fighters will likely be moved north from areas where ISIS is still a threat e.g Deir Ezzor. It also puts the incarceration of thousands of international ISIS suspects in Northern Syria in jeopardy.

    For so many Americans, this was a nameless, faceless war. It also happens to be the one place US can point to & say its policy has created a fragile, endangered, but real and, until now, lasting stability brought to you by local forces who fought and died against ISIS. Now this.

    The US is now allowing the forces who fought ISIS to face an offensive from Turkey. This will have serious repercussions. Across the board. And region.
