    This is huge, if not unexpected. SDF fighters will likely be moved north from areas where ISIS is still a threat e.g Deir Ezzor. It also puts the incarceration of thousands of international ISIS suspects in Northern Syria in jeopardy.

    Sources inside Syrian-backed factions who were mobilized for the operation in NE Syria tell me they've been told by superiors that the operation is on hold. If this is true, seems that US pressure on Ankara was successful.
