Another of the seemingly endless threads from on the victims of the war in Syria. Stories like this are so important to show how many of the fighters (on all sides) have often had little choice in their fates these past years.

ISIS mined the road leading to al-Kawm in the last few days and one of the mines destroyed a Liwa al-Quds technical. 5 members of the group were reported injured in the blast. Road is now closed until engineering teams can clear the area.

The force numbered ~10k in the mid-2000's (following an increase in size & funding due to the Iraq war) It likely remains about this size today, although it's difficult to know for sure.

There's 7 regiments each operating in distinct areas: 5th Reg (Hasakah pocket) 6th Reg (Southern Homs) 8th Reg (Jordan-Syria border) 10th Reg (Iraq-Syria border) 11th Reg (Latakia) 12th Reg (Manbij and East Aleppo) Unknown (likely Lebanon-Syria border)

Very, very little has been written about this unit in Arabic or English. The information in this article comes from examining their few small Facebook pages, old FSA videos, & interviews w/ active Border Guards. If anyone has additional info, please share!

Benjamin Netanyahu is a racist who should be be an outcast, banned from the halls of American power and finds the doors of respectable society closed to him. That he looked upon with any favor in America says a lot about our own issues with racism and hate.

Interesting read from about Nir Rosen and his work as a fixer between various actors and the Assad regime in Syria. However, one of the more juicer tidbits that Armin only glossed over is Nir's association with Samir Foz.

Nice to know the kind of friends Max has. knows all about cowards seeing as how he spent a decade praying on children. You know, because he’s a convicted pedophile.
