    The Syrian government is issuing tourist visas to US citizens again. I was able to visit Damascus, Aleppo, Tartous and Palmyra in the past few days. Everyone I met was extremely friendly and welcoming. For those interested, this is a good time to visit

    This is the argument of the neo-conservatives and liberal hawks, but it leaves countries in rubble, civil-war, and poverty. @BretStephensNYT sees this as success because enemies are brought low. But Iran in fragments/civil war would likely be worse than Iran under Mullahs.

    U.K. Gov was helping rebels produce propaganda videos starting in Autumn 2013 at least. Roughly same time as this Panorama program and 2013 Ghouta chemical attacks, in which videos played a huge role.
