    ふと、twitterで匿名で妙な自慢をしてくるアカウントのことを思い出してプロフィールから検索したら、東大が否応無く副産物として排出する（「輩出」とはちょっと違う）、超意識高い系の人だった…要するに「俺の方が一族に偉い学者いっぱいいるぞ」と言いたかったのか、きづかなくてごめんな…

    サルマーンの昔の奥さんから生まれた子供達は、宇宙とか石油とかの専門家になって、欧米や日本とも関係がよくて、まあなんというかサウジの風土では非力な感じもして、若い奥さんの息子の、ドメで腕っ節が強い若い王子様たちが台頭する頃にはすっかり影が薄くなっていたのですが、

    「アラブ初の宇宙飛行士」といえば、1985年にディスカバリーで宇宙に行ったスルターン・ビン・サルマーンであるということが知られています（忘れられがちですが）。つまり今のサルマーン国王の息子で、MbSの異母兄。最近エネルギー大臣になったアブドゥルアズィーズ・ビン・サルマーンは同腹の弟。

    そうでしたね。なんとなく記憶にはあったのですが、定かではなかったのですが、やはりサウジ出身のMSがいましたね。ありがとうございます。

    Iraq is revolting, along side Egypt. Syria... Lebanon is fed up too. Jordanian teachers are on strike. I think it's pretty clear that the people of the Levant/ME have had enough of these post-colonial corrupt dictatorships. Anyone who tries to deny that is simply stupid.

    The anti-Iran alliance is crumbling.While the prescient MBZ seeks to normalize relations w/ Iran, MBS has mellowed.Bolton & Mandelker are gone, Bibi faces possible indictment & struggling to form a new gov’t.And Trump is facing impeachment.Time for Iran to negotiate with the US.
