Extremely difficult couple of weeks for the GNA coalition both internally & externally. The intensified air/land campaign by the LNA & their foreign backers (incl. killing of key figures) & the obvious erosion of Serraj/GNA's legitimacy on the International stage.

I posted this on Apr 7, few days after the start of the war. It was good to remind myself then & it still stands today & no there is no 'moral equivalence' here coz for me the conflict did not just start on Apr 4, it's been raging on since 2011.

Serraj's address at & his comments to the media & other forums are directed more to the internal base/audience in & rather than the international community. The more Serraj feels isolated internationally, the more hardline positions he'll take.

As expected, the GNA issues a statement that pretty much rejects what came out in the statement of the co-chairs of the ministerial meeting in New York. knows his international legitimacy has eroded so he is cementing his internal position/base by going hardline.
