(bug): "SIGNUP", "LOGIN" and "Logout" should be "SIGN UP", LOG IN" and "Log Out".

Summary

Signup, login and logout are nouns. Sign up, log in and log out are verbs. Universally expected behavior is for the verbs to be used.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Click your avatar.
  2. Click "Logout".

Platform information

Chrome/Win10.

What is the current bug behavior?

"SIGNUP", "LOGIN" and "Logout" are used for these buttons.

What is the expected correct behavior?

"SIGN UP", LOG IN" and "Log Out" should be used instead.

@ottman Do you agree with this?

Not sure about this one, @JakePassi whilst you are grammatically correct, just going through some of the larger commercial sites and some of the more well known developers / support sites that I have bookmarked within my daily / general usage browser, and I have noticed that within some of these sites terms such as "login" and "log in" interchangeably. Funny enough, even my general workstation Desktop environment and login manager (KDE and SDDM) both uses terms such as "login" and "logout"

Two sites that I have just been looking at do use both connotations:

      • https://forum.xda-developers.com

Maybe because I am British, I really do not like the over usage of American styled colloquialisms (prefer to use words such as "colour", "aeon" and "apologises" rather then "color", "eon" and "apologizes" -- note I really do dislike the North American usage of the letter "z" when a "s" would be more appropriate), also British English is more universally used when compared to American English.

As far as "login" / "log in", "logout" / "log out" and "signup" / "sign up" is concerned, I personally prefer to use verbs (also it might be better to use the term "register" rather then "sign up" / "signup" -- not sure which is more universally acceptable).

It's sort of fine either way and not really priority.
