Bernie Sanders is a decent man and an inspirational leader with poor advisors and horrible followers. Remember it was he who made Tulsi Gabbard a thing in the first place. He is now taking advice from the likes of Robert Malley, who pushed pro-regime policies in the Obama admin.

Sanders will disappoint his tankie followers since unlike them he does acknowledge the regime's crimes. Warren, however, also speaks of accountability.pic.twitter.com/nGF7gBHYxW

No. These are different. First, in the case of KSA, it is stopping the SUPPORT of the regime with BILLIONS of dollars of weapons. Second, in the case of Syria, no one is considering supporting Syria, but opening negotiations. Both of these can and should happen. Big difference.

As a Syrian I think it’s good that the prospective leader of the world’s only superpower wants to engage in diplomacy and not further failed conflict. What’s your endgame here?

You are a Syrian who has never tweeted about Syrian....until today to deflect attention from Assad's crimes "As a Syrian"?pic.twitter.com/DfURPzaAIp

Very true. As a Bernie supporter, he should rethink his decision regarding Assad, especially considering the enormous role that the presidency plays in foreign policy.

i agree that assad is a genocidal dictator which should be toppled but in reality, no one will fulfil that. i wonder what should be done if us wouldn't restart the relation with the regime which is still legitimate, at least on paper. have you got any idea except partition?

Thank you for sharing this. I voted for Sanders in 2016 and this is extremely disappointing to see. He's been pandering to the far left this campaign cycle and this is more evidence of that.
