    気候変動問題でも、WWFの分析は「大気中から温室効果ガスを吸収、除去する技術」の将来の開発を予測し、その上で、現時点での予測を立てています。経済成長を求めたから技術を進歩させたのではありません。科学の進歩は人類の本能です。富者だか支配層だかの陰謀ではありませんよ

    それは「成長の限界」などという富者のお題目を信じなかった人たちが経済成長を求めて技術開発したからです。「もう成長はいいよ」という豊かな大人の価値観に過剰同調せず、「うるせーな金儲けさせろ」という若い人が結果としてなんとかしてくれるのをなるべく邪魔しないのが年寄りの適切な役割です。

    ちなみに、現在石油が枯渇していないのは数十年前の科学が間違っていたからではなくて、科学技術が進歩し、それまで採掘できなかった原油が採掘可能になったから

    科学は基本、後の世になるほど信憑性が高いものだと考えてよいでしょう。少なくとも、モロッコの市場で「鶏が可哀想！」と暴れる女性の問題とはほぼ無関係

    まあ私もタワックル・カルマンが欧米NGOによって持ち上げられノーベル平和賞をもらうまでをぼーっと見ていた間抜けな日本の中東研究者だったが、その後のイエメン政治・中東政治の展開を見届け、いかに無責任に欧米NGOが見放したか、その複雑な構図を我慢して見届けることで、責任を果たしたい。
