Tokyo, Japan’s capital and one of the world’s leading metropolises, illustrates the successful marriage of the modern and the traditional. One can spend days on end travelling all over Tokyo and discover something new each time.
The same goes for Kyoto, a city steeped in tradition and culture. Visit its numerous temples, explore its back streets, and walk the corridors of Nijo Castle, which is famed for its “nightingale floors.” Take a stroll around the beautiful town of Fushimi, which is only a 30-minute drive from Kyoto and is famous for its abundance of sake breweries. Enjoy Japanese sake tasting after visiting Fushimi Inari Taisha that is famous for its thousands of vermillion torii gates.
Furthermore, delve into Hiroshima’s history with a visit to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and Museum and the Atomic Bomb Dome. Moreover, feast your eyes on the lavish Toshogu Shrine in Nikko, and then indulge in the novelty of the hot spring baths in the renowned Kinugawa Onsen neighbourhood.
