    A lot of people have sorta just lazily assumed that the Israeli election was entirely about Netanyahu and that there were no deeper issues in play, but this thread shows that really isn’t the case

    🔴🔴Actual drop in Likud strength is 8 or 9 seats out of 120 in parliament. Likud took 35 last time, then merged with Kahalon's party for total of 39. Netanyahu made deal with Feiglin, who got a seat's worth of votes in April but didn't get in.…

    Balkan Ghosts is a fine and prescient travelogue/reportage that’s been bizarrely misremembered as a work of history or ethnography or political science. Also I will never log off
