It's unlikely there'll ever be a solution. By all appearances, it looks like the developer for this game knowingly and intentionally broke the game on its final update in order to entice people who bought this game to buy his next game, which is basically the same thing all over again. Dev blamed the whole infrastructure he set up in this game, but considering everything worked fine before the final update, and the final update was what broke almost every aspect of the game, I find that highly unlikely, and as such refuse to ever support him again.
