Hello and welcome to the one tool nobody asked for! A serial number editor! Simply put your prodinfo.bin file in the same folder as the Python script and run it from the command prompt. The resulting prodinfo can be restored via incognito.nro.
Follow the on-screen instructions and you're good to go!
    Featuring:
    • Editing of your switch's serial number (duh)
    • Primitive checks (serial number length, prefix etc)
    • Check digit calculation (and overwrite if necessary)
This is my first Python project. I plan to include a couple more features (see the GitHub page) and I thought I'd share what I did up to this point. How you'll use this tool is up to you.
    Have fun and stay safe!

Source: will post the GitHub link at a later time, as I'm still a new member.

You don't actually think I'd be dumb enough to add a picture of exactly the same character on my second account? But that aside, I know Laxure, he's my brother. And he's been on this forum for just a tad bit longer than me. The reason I created this tool is to help him with his prodinfo, since (if you look into his post history) he lost a while ago. I just thought I should also share it here since this is the best place where I can start when it comes to switch dev-related stuff. So yeah sorry for the confusion I guess?

...This'll brick your Switch if you overwrite your PRODINFO with it
