I created my account through the browser first. Then I installed the mobile app. When I attempt to login through the app, I get the message "The user credentials are incorrect."
I'm worried that if I delete my account and try to recreate I won't be able to use the same email address.

@benhayward.ben I experience the same bug. First only on my phone and now on my tablet too. Credentials work on website but in the app I get "the user credentials were incorrect" In my tablet this bug seems to have started specifically after updating from 3.7 to 3.8.

Hi, you are the third person to mention this to me now, so I'm going to take it that this issue is more widespread than initially thought.
So you cannot get in no matter what? Can you get in with a second account? Any additional error information? Are you certain your connected to the internet? Is your password complicated enough that you could have mistyped on mobile (because of a bug in React Native, the copy paste is not working in 3.8.0, so if you were previously relying on a password manager, maybe that could be the issue)

Well @benhayward.ben whatever you need help with I'm here. In any case, I uninstalled the new version and installed the old apk and it works great there. But here's a clue to what might be going on - I didn't have to log in after I re-installed the old version which is quite odd. Maybe there's some leftover from previous log ins that is behind it? Let me know how I can help you further and I will (including any log files, etc.).

Having a good look into this with @msantang78, and its proving very difficult. So, do you usually use a password manager? If you show your password, are you certain that it is correct? Are there no whitespaces before or after the password?
Just trying to narrow things down.
I don't use a PW manager. The password is correct. No white spaces. The password includes letters, numbers and characters, but nothing esoteric.
Okay, thank you very much. It's weird because (excuse me if you're not technical, I really have no idea), the request is being sent to the server to log you in... which is the same server used by the main site, so, in theory, if its letting you on one, it should on the other.
This however does not appear to be the case. I think it may come down to an issue with React Native 0.59, but its hard to say. Regardless our mobile lead is looking into it and I am assisting, thank you very much for your prompt responses.
I'm technical - but in a radically different field. I initially figured, based on the behavior, it was some kind of a stubborn cookie but i didn't want to assume what type of authentication you're using. One thing to note: @ottman mentioned resetting the PW, which i did a while back when i failed to log-in through my phone (this was a few months back with a much older version).
That's interesting. Myself and the mobile lead both tried password reset after Bill mentioned it and had no luck triggering it to happen this way.
Can you log into a second account all fine?

Another potential issue, could be user error though, pw reset issue is fixed and it shouldn't have been related.
Really if this is not user related it should appear in our Sentry logs.
