Indeed. Imagine a country where a political leader is hounded by the red tops for a photo of them eating a sandwich.

yes and they also definitely compared him to a tinpot dictator?
-
One example... Anyway, it's kind of missing the point of my post. People made fun of Ed Miliband eating the sandwich for purely aesthetic reasons. With BoJo anything he does - sneeze, eat, breathe - must be compared to fascism

OMG. Just stop. It’s embarrassing. You’ve been owned, freehold.

Yes, and my mum still gives this as the reason that she could never vote for him!

Next time she says it, tell her it was because he was the one that stayed on and hung out with the veterans afterwards, and it looked like it was going to rain. The ones in the fancy clothes all hopped into taxis and went off to their smart lunches together. ⚘

I didn’t know that ...

I also find it funny that the cost of the coat is noted, like £79 isn’t enough to spend. That’s quite a lot to spend on a coat if you ask me. Reveals a lot about the writer.

The hounding of Boris? Are you for real? He's a juvenile bully and will stop at nothing for his own advantage.
-
Is that why it’s the opposition who have ripped the constitution to shreds this last week? Love him or loathe him, Boris has not broken any procedural or constitutional norms. The same can not be said for the opposition.
-
No you're right. A prorogation of Parliament of five weeks by a PM not elected to the office in order to frustrate democratic proceedings is a constitutional norm and majority voting in parliament by elected MPs is a calculated ploy.
-
Nothing wrong with the prorogation, courts decided. Process followed by Tories in electing its leader was perfectly regular. What is not regular is the use of SO24 to take control of Commons business and to deny need for Royal Consent.
