The whole concept of #MeToo is to circumvent the "innocent until proven guilty" which I find ridiculously dangerous and just plain irresponsible. So if anything I am tempted to pick up this game just to hurt the movement.

The whole idea is that woman somehow don't lie about ♥♥♥♥ which is a gross misinterpretation of the statistics that's based on. Those statistics are only for girls reporting to the police. The only liars under those conditions are the teenage daughters parents bring in who lied about ♥♥♥♥ to get out of trouble for skipping curfew or something like that.

lol go ahead and buy it, but you're not going to like the story, it wasn't written by the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ in question, he was just the coder. It's all about feminism, mental illness, hating on fascists and cops, and everything else you losers that all of the sudden care about this game fear.

Both Derek Yu and Scott Benson, who have worked with Alec Holowka in the past, have acknowledged the situation, despite considering him a great friend. Many figures in the game industry knew that Alec had mental health issues (but not that it was this bad). There's also the fact that there HAVE been known cases of respected figures being guilty of sexual assault recently. Zoë Quinn has also been a victim of Internet harassment in the Gamergate controversy.

But, this was stated only, what, 20 hours ago? Alec has yet to respond anything, and no new information has surfaced, other than game industry figures stating this and that. I'm more leaning into the camp that Alec is guilty simply due to the amount of people I respect giving condolences and the fact that everyone knew that Alec had mental health issues, but I admit I'm not 100 % certain. Got to wait and see how the situation develops. That's all we, who have nothing to do with these people, can do.

Can I ask where the proof is that he did anything, there's already a load of people taking her side just because "she has no reason to lie", it's a baseless reason to believe here when there has been many known cases of people lying about their partners being sexual abusers regardless of their status. Innocent until proven guilty is like non-existant with these cases, and sometimes people like to slander others when they're more successful than them because they are literally sick in the head, maybe this could be the case here?
