sheppard No, your ASUS H270 won't work with QH8G. Gigabyte boards a bit capricious when it comes to Sky ES A0. For GA-H110M-S2H you need to insert 506E0 microcode into F4 bios version and flash it. I don't know if board exactly will work, but this is the method.
sheppard Unfortunately, Skylake ES can't work on 200-series boards at all. It works only on 100-series boards with earlier bioses (w/o kaby support) and also on 2xxx bioses for ASUS (ES rev.Q0 only).
slvrsurfr 3 options: - Just select 1 and continue. Non patched tables not really important. Disable C-states in bios, and no any problems appears. - Use Revlaay's tool for ACPI patching (he solved this problem), and add remaining mods in CT after. - Use Revlaay's tool for all patches. I guess it should works fine too. Besides, in CoffeeTime you need to select "i - insert all cfl-microcodes" variant during update, because 9900KF may use both revisions P0 and R0 (only P0 adding in autoupdate by default).
imbatman ASRock Z170-Gaming-K6+ 7.20 CFL modbios. Supports Skylake, Kaby Lake, Coffee Lake, but not ES or Xeon. Need to transfer your MAC-address. Flash it with SPI programmer or with any software after manual regions unlocking. DOWNLOAD
thejag Your board will work with 9700K without any problems. You can try to use russian CoffeeMod manual using online translators.
Bizarre™ There is M10H port-bios for your M9H made by dsanke with all 1151 CPUs support (except Skylake ES). Just flash it with SPI programmer and apply socket pinmod - thats all. M9H_M10H_v2003_PORT_by_dsanke
mgabee, Bizarre™ This ACPI patch errors usually apperas when path to CoffeeTime includes spaces or local keyboard layout symbols. Try to drop CoffeeTime directory in disk root.
taitu12 Thanks, appreciate this.) Depends of revisions. 8100 usually use B0 rev. (906EB). 9400F use U0 (906EA), but it potencially may exist in P0 (906EC) or R0 (906ED) rev., so you need identify it before, to make right modbios. Use CoffeeTime comparison image to recognize revision by visual.
imbatman What's the problem? You can make modbios yourself with any automated coffeemod tool.
yenlegion Yes, it will completely ok. Check out a little gallery with coffeemod systems, most of modbioses made with CoffeeTime. There is a one system on ASRock Z170A-X1 listed too. < View gallery >
Rez I made port-bios from Z370-F, it will work with any Sky/Kaby/Coffee CPUs, including 9900K. Do not forget to transfer personal data from your current bios dump (using CoffeeTime or FD44Editor). Yes, pinmod is required for any U0/P0/R0 Coffee Lake. ASUS_Z270F_PORT_Z370F_V2001
davidm71 It's not a socket degradation, it's just no any isolation were applied. Pins are melted because without isolation it make short circuit and small contact pad (1-2 pins) will works like a fuses and burns at first, before any serious damage. You may see, that for Gigabyte 100 there are a lot of pins for isolation. If they all wasn't isolated then a large contact area will allow to save pin pads but VRM will be damaged.
gomoza9 Yes, it seems to H110i PRO will work fine with 8400 U0. For MSI no need pins shorting, just isolate two.
davidm71 Pins for isolation has "reserved" status and didn't used on 1151v1 socket. Most of them just shorted to the ground. But on 1151v2 some of them received voltage payload and this can damage 1151v1 socket pins or board VRM if not isolated.
hawkdown77 Modbios from your screenshot should works fine with 9100F_U0. I assume that modbios reflashed incorrectly, maybe without FD and ME regions. Make current bios dump and compare it with your screenshot.
wolff2310 There is no similar board at Z370 lineup, so only experiments may helps. I can make some port-bioses but it can be dangerous for your board cause VRM difference. And you'll need SPI programmer.
hawkdown77 I saw 9100F of both revisions: B0 and U0, so you will need to choose correct mod. MSI H110M PRO-VH PLUS should work fine with both revisions.
CoffeeTime 0.85a released. Nothing special. Added universal ME for Xeon, Vbios base up to 1062, updated microcodes, unlocked Xeon autoupdate for most of 200-series boards and added pretty nice experimental function for ASUS boards. Full list in readme.txt Download
dooby This is BIOS-lock feature from ASUS. Described below appliable only for B0 Coffee (i3-8xxx etc). Check actual ME version on your board by Intel ME Detection Tool. Three options exists: 1) Your ME is already between 11.6 - 11.7 and it's ok. In this case you need to reflash only BIOS-region from modbios. Just use AFUWIN 3.05.04 for flashing, it will help to get around ASUS BIOS-lock problem. Command: afuwinx64 modbios.bin /GAN Or disable BIOS-lock first and flash with FPT then. Command: fptw64 -rewrite -bios -f modbios.bin 2) Your ME lower than 11.6. Update ME to 11.6 - 11.7 version by any official method, then go to point 1. 3) Your ME 11.8. Use SPI programmer to reflash bios fully or try to unlock regions by HDA_SDO and then flash full image with any software tool.
mgabee Capsule restoring required only for ASUS USB Flashback flashing method. For SPI programmer you need to dismiss capsule restoring at finalizing and use .bin.
